Job Title: CFO East Africa Community Manager – part of Executive Communities
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid work environment)
Type: Full-time
About Executive Communities:
Executive Communities is an organisation with presence in 7 African countries. In East Africa, the company oversees vibrant executive communities in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania, including CITO East Africa, CHRO East Africa and CFO East Africa. These networks connect C-suite executives through thought leadership, peer-to-peer learning, and engaging events like executive summits and awards.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a sharp, growth-minded Executive Community builder to own this mission for our well-established CFO East Africa community. You are the architect of the conversation, the trusted voice, and the engine of measurable expansion for the community, collaborating with colleagues in our community, sales, media, marketing and operations teams.
Executive engagement is the only metric!
While process rigour (Hubspot data, event invite logistics, Google Workspace) is essential, this role is explicitly designed to maximise high-impact executive engagement and 70 percent of your week will be dedicated to direct, high-impact activities:
- Connecting: This is where you live. You'll spend your time speaking to executives one-on-one, over lunch, or on the phone, over email, digging deep to understand their most pressing challenges. You’re co-creating their community with the CFOs.
- Growing: You take pride in community growth. You are solely responsible for ensuring our database is the most comprehensive and complete. Your goal is to map the market and bring every relevant executive into our orbit – and add value to their professional lives (and it does not cost the CFOs money to be part of the community!).
- Programming: You translate executive challenges into world-class, original content and events – the kind of programming that generates FOMO and drives essential dialogue.
Who are you?
You are a rare hybrid – a leader who blends high-integrity content and conversational skills with a drive to enthusiastically grow a premier executive network.
- You might have a background in senior journalism, business development, or high-touch relationship management, but you know how to leverage that experience to build trust at the C-suite level.
- You are excited by our purpose, playing a crucial role in growing Executive Communities across Africa.
- You are proactive, take immediate ownership, and possess the grit to systematically build a community.
- You look for opportunities to double our face-time with top executives, ensuring you meet who we do not yet know or who do not yet participate in our engagements.
- You approach executive conversations with a deliberately authentic tone, steering clear of stock-standard marketing language.
- You possess the natural grit and ambition to achieve clear, measurable community growth targets.
If you’re ready to step into a senior role where relationships are the currency and growth is the mandate, apply now.
Remuneration: Competitive salary based on experience and competence.
Virtual office: In our virtual office model, we work from our offices in Westlands once or twice a month. We host at least one CFO event a month which may require travel and team meetings during the event week. The ability to attend these physical meetings is vital. This is a full-time job, so while you will be working mostly from home, you will be expected to be accountable for a full day at your desk and be available in our virtual office environment.
