Clarisse Umutoni nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards

Clarisse Umutoni, CFO at the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB), is among the second cohort of nominees for the 2026 "Oscars of Finance".

Clarisse Umutoni, CFO of Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards.

She joins a distinguished group of finance leaders competing for the region's most coveted recognition in finance leadership.

Clarisse has served as CFO at the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board since August 2020. Earlier, she served as head of finance and administration at the Capital Market Authority Rwanda from December 2014 to August 2020, and before that at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, where she managed donor-funded projects for nearly six years.

She began her career in banking, holding roles at I&M Bank and BPR Bank Rwanda. In addition to her executive responsibilities, Clarisse served two terms on the Governing Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda and on its Disciplinary Commission, and was until recently an independent non-executive director and audit committee chair at VisionFund International. 

Clarisse holds a Bachelor's in Economic Sciences and Management from Kigali Independent University. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Dubbed the 'Oscars of Finance', the CFO East Africa Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.

The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
