Emma Kendi joins Kenya Rhino Range Expansion as finance lead

Emma Kendi has been appointed as finance lead at Kenya Rhino Range Expansion. Until March 2024, she had served as financial controller at BigCold Kenya, providing leadership in the development of the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

She has a wealth of experience in financial strategy and planning across several industries including logistics, manufacturing, and FMCG.

Emma started her career in finance at Winchester Farm in 2003, where she gained experience in managing financial statements and reconciling accounts. In 2007, she joined Tausi Assurance Ltd as a chief accountant, a role she held for nearly two years. She then served as an assistant manager, reporting and planning, at Hashi Energy before transitioning to Premier Food Industries Ltd in 2014 as a finance manager, playing a key role in business strategy and finance support.

In 2019, Emma took on the role of chief financial analyst at Mini Bakeries Nairobi & Akiyda. There, she led the implementation of SAP Business One ERP.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Kenyatta University and an MBA from Strathmore University. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified information systems auditor (CISA).
