Eugene Antera is Bamburi Cement's new CFO

Eugene Antera has taken on the role of group CFO at Bamburi Cement, effective 1 June 2023. He has been with parent company, Holcim, since 2007.

Eugene Antera has taken on the role of group CFO at Bamburi Cement, effective 1 June 2023.

He takes over from Vasileios Karalis who was reassigned within parent company Holcim Group.

Antera joined Holcim in 2007, and has held several roles within the company, including business analyst for Sub Sahara Africa (Lafarge Middle East &Africa), growth controller, supply chain controller and overall country controller for Kenya.

A board statement highlighted that Antera is a "dynamic business leader, with strong management and finance experience spanning over 15 years in manufacturing, transportation and banking".

Earlier in his career, the experienced finance executive held the position of financial planning and analysis manager at Rift Valley Railways and business controller at East African Portland Cement.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the University of Nairobi and is a certified public accountant, as well as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
