Robinah Siima, CFO at FINCA Uganda, has been shortlisted for the first-ever CFO Awards for East Africa.

FINCA Uganda CFO Robinah Siima is the sixth finance executive to join the list of nominees vying for one of 10 coveted 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa.

The awards shine a spotlight on finance leaders who demonstrate outstanding performance and leadership. The awards ceremony, slated for 27 November in Nairobi, will host CFOs, partners, and VIPs for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.

Robinah was appointed as the CFO of FINCA Uganda in November 2022. She started her career in May 2008 as a sales and marketing assistant at Umoja House of Electronics, where she worked for a year. In June 2010, she joined Hotel Classic as an accounts assistant before securing an internship in operations and technology at Citi Bank Uganda in January 2011.

Her career took a turn in September 2011 when she joined Ernst & Young (EY) as an auditor, a role she held for five years. She later became a financial accountant at FINCA Uganda in September 2016 and was promoted to management accountant in February 2018. In March 2021, she moved to the Electricity Regulatory Authority as a senior management accountant, returning to FINCA Uganda as chief financial officer in November 2022.

Robinah holds a BCom from Makerere University and an MBA from Amity University. She is a certified public accountant (CPA-U), a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and a certified financial modelling and valuation analyst.
