Jacqueline Kiwanuka nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards

Jacqueline Kiwanuka, CFO at Uganda Electricity Distribution Company (UECDL), is among the nominees for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards, with 20 years of financial leadership across Uganda's public and private sectors.

Uganda Electricity Distribution Company (UECDL) CFO Jacqueline Kiwanuka has been nominated for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards.

Since September 2022, Jacqueline has served as CFO at Uganda Electricity Distribution Company.

Before that, she spent over eight years at Uganda Clays as head of finance, and briefly served as acting managing director from March 2020 to March 2021.

Prior to that, Jacqueline spent nearly six years at National Housing and Construction Company in roles spanning finance officer and finance manager. She began her career at ActionAid Uganda, where she worked for five years as accounts assistant and later finance and administration officer.

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of business administration from Makerere University and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Dubbed the "Oscars of Finance", the CFO Awards celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.

The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
