Moses Aman nominated for 2025 CFO Awards

Hima Cement CFO Moses Aman joins the first cohort of nominees in the running for the first-ever ‘Oscars of Finance’.

Hima Cement CFO Moses Aman has been nominated for the 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa. He was appointed to the role in 2020.

The awards highlight outstanding financial leadership, innovation and strategic management, honouring those who have made significant contributions to their organisations and the broader business community.

Winners will be celebrated at a glamorous gala dinner in Nairobi on 27 November 2025 that will bring together top CFOs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.

Moses began his career as an associate at PwC Uganda in 2007. In 2011, he briefly served as a senior associate at PwC before relocating to the UK, where he continued in the same role with PwC until 2013. He returned to Uganda later that year to take up the role of audit manager at PwC Uganda.

In 2015, he joined Hima Cement as internal control manager for Uganda and Rwanda. He was promoted in 2019 to country head of procurement for the same markets. 

Moses holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and a BBA from Makerere University. He also completed the CEO apprenticeship programme at Strathmore Business School in 2017.
