Peter Ssenyange joins 2025 CFO Awards nominees

PostBank Uganda CFO Peter Ssenyange has joined the list of finance leaders who will be competing in the 2025 ‘Oscars of Finance’.

PostBank Uganda CFO Peter Ssenyange has been nominated for the 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa. He was appointed to the role in June 2020.

The CFO Awards for East Africa highlight outstanding financial leadership, innovation and strategic management, honouring those who have made significant contributions to their organisations and the broader business community.

Winners will be celebrated at a glamorous gala dinner in Nairobi on 27 November 2025 that will bring together top CFOs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.

Previously, Peter served as chief finance officer at United Bank for Africa from June 2016 to June 2020. Before that, he was a consultant at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.

From October 2013 to May 2016, Peter worked at Stanbic Bank Uganda as finance manager enabling functions. Earlier, he was manager for PBB business planning and analysis from July 2011 to September 2013, and corporate and investment banking analyst from April 2010 to June 2011. He began his career at the bank as a budget officer and accountant trainee in February 2007, serving in the position until March 2010.

Between March and June 2012, he was seconded to Standard Bank Malawi as finance manager corporate and investment banking. He lectured with Financial Training Limited, Multitech Accountancy Programme, and Global Professional Solutions in Uganda and Rwanda from June 2005 to June 2016.

Peter holds a BSc in accounting from Oxford Brookes University and an ACCA certification.
