Sophia Mukoba-Kioko has taken on the role of Global Audit Finance lead for Unilever, after spending six years as the Finance director for Unilever East Africa.
She has over 20 years’ experience in the discipline, spanning finance function leadership, performance management, audit, financial control, taxation and regulatory management, risk management and commercial finance.
Prior to joining Unilever, Sophia spent 11 years at British American Tobacco, starting in the role of area internal auditor and working her way to head of finance for the East Africa market.
She is a certified global chartered management accountant and public accountant (Kenya). Sophia also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Nairobi.
