Caroline Mackola is the director of finance at the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).
She was appointed to the role in February 2021 after a two-year stint as the head of financial control at KCB Group.
Caroline began her career as an audit associate at PwC in September 2007, having pivoted from electrical engineering, her original area of study. Between June 2008 and February 2011, she worked as a tax consultant at the audit firm, eventually joining East African Breweries (EABL) as a tax compliance manager in March 2011. Caroline took on the role of group tax manager in August 2013, later transitioning to group record to report manager in July 2014. She served in this role for three years before her appointment as head of financial control at KCB Group.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
