Funlola Pearce

Funlola Pearce is the finance and IT director (Central East & West Africa) at Beiersdorf.

She assumed the role in October 2023 after an 11-year stint at American multinational Mondelēz International. Funlola joined Mondelēz as a corporate planning and analysis manager (West Africa) in 2009, serving in the position for three years before taking on the additional role of project management office (PMO) lead. In January 2015, she was appointed as category controller for beverages in the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) markets. 

After a year, Funlola became the finance business lead for Central and Eastern Africa. She began to serve concurrently as commercial controller for the region in October 2016 before transitioning to the role of accounting and external reporting lead for Southern Central and Eastern Africa in April 2020.

Funlola began her career as an experienced assistant at KPMG, having pivoted from her undergraduate training in engineering. In June 2004, she joined Alstom Transport as a process improvement controller, a role she held for four months. Two years later, Funlola was appointed as business controller for West Africa at Swedish multinational Tetra Pak.

She holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.
