Innocent Gatete is the head of strategic projects and implementation at Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD).
Until March 2025, he served as the chief finance officer of Access to Finance Rwanda (AFR).
He started his career as a programme officer at the College of Business Studies Rwanda and later joined Kinazi Cassava Plant as an accountant in 2013.
After a year, Innocent took on the role of reporting and fixed assets senior accountant at IHS Towers, where he managed the accounting and reporting function. Following a three-year stint, he was appointed as chief accountant at HQ Power before transitioning to Milbridge Holding SA as the financial controller for East Africa operations.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in food science from the University of Rwanda (UoR) and an MBA from Heriot Watt University. He has also completed an ACCA certification.
