Innocent Rwetabura was appointed as the CFO and executive director of Yas Tanzania in October 2018 after serving as interim CEO from September 2021 to July 2022.

He has held various roles at the company since he joined in April 2015, including financial controller and acting CFO. Innocent has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, including a two-year stint as financial controller at UK-based telecommunications tower company Helios Towers between 2013 and 2015.

Innocent began his career at PwC Tanzania in October 1998 before joining Zain as financial controller in February 2003. He then proceeded to Airtel Sierra Leone in February 2008, where he took on the role of finance director in 2008. He took on a similar role at Zantel in November 2010 before his appointment as head of finance at G4S in September 2012.

He holds a bachelor of commerce in accounting and an MBA in finance from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is also a certified public accountant (CPA).
