Joan Andia is the chief finance officer at Hewatele, where she has served since September 2023. 

Before this, she spent nearly two years at Mantrac Kenya overseeing finance, business process optimisation, and credit operations.

Between 2017 and 2021, Joan was head of credit at New Kenya Cooperatives Creameries, where she played a key role in developing credit policies and improving operational efficiency. Earlier, she served as group head of credit at Rift Valley Railways from 2014 to 2016, leading credit risk strategy and cash flow improvement initiatives.

Her earlier roles include credit controller at East Africa Portland Cement Company, assistant manager for credit collections and recoveries at Family Bank, and credit controller for depots at Chloride Exide. She began her career in customer service and finance, working with Drummond Investment Bank, BOC Kenya, and BOC Tanzania.

Joan holds an MSc in finance and investments from the University of Nairobi, a diploma in public relations from the Kenya Institute of Management, and a BCom in accounting from Kenyatta University.
