Marie Nassiwa Martin is the finance director at Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Uganda.
She was appointed to the role in November 2018 after leaving Umeme, where she served as the CFO for a three-year period starting December 2015. She began her stint at the power distributor in January 2014, when she joined as the finance manager.
Marie began her career as an independent financial advisor at Citi in 2006. She joined Shell in July 2006, where she worked as an analyst in the treasury back office until July 2011. In the same month, she took on the role of project accountant, which she held for three months, transitioning to Morgan Stanley as a legal entity control governance associate in October 2011. After six months, Marie was appointed as a financial accountant at BAE Systems.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and finance from the University of Greenwich.
