Rehema Sanare was appointed as the CFO of Bayport Financial Services Tanzania in September 2017.
Before that, she served as the financial controller at Barclays Tanzania for a three-year sting that began in July 2014. Rehema cut her teeth at Deloitte, having joined the firm as an audit associate in August 2005. In July 2007, she took on the role of audit senior, a position she held for three years. During this time, she completed a six-month secondment to Kenya.
Rehema then went on to assume the position of head of business performance and analytics at the bank from November 2010 to June 2014. This preceded her appointment as financial controller in July 2014. She served in the role for three years before joining Bayport Financial Services Tanzania as CFO.
She holds a BSc in accounting and finance from Cardiff University. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a certified public accountant (CPA-T).
