Abdusalam Salim appointed CEO at Hass Petroleum

He steps up from his role as CFO, bringing over 12 years of financial leadership and strategic expertise to the top position.

Abdusalam Salim has been appointed as chief executive officer at Hass Petroleum. He steps up from his role as chief financial officer, a position he has held since January 2020, succeeding Mohamud Salat.

Before becoming CFO, Abdusalam served as group financial controller from November 2013 to January 2020. 

He worked as a senior associate at PwC from September 2011 to November 2013, during which he led several high-profile assignments across East African markets in industries including banking, insurance, manufacturing, hotel and hospitality and healthcare. 

Abdusalam holds an MSc in Finance and Investment and a BA in Economics, Arabic, and Mathematics from the University of Nairobi. He is also a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
