Alex Tito Mwangi has been appointed as group managing director at HighChem Group of Companies

The seasoned finance director will oversee the conglomerate’s corporate strategy, operations, and governance, leveraging more than two decades of experience across multiple industries to drive growth and stakeholder alignment.

“I am looking forward to overseeing a multifaceted growth of revenue, investor value, and employees' abilities through offering efficacious and competitive brands to our customers in a progressive environment. My rallying call to colleagues is ‘driven by results’,” Alex says.

He takes on the role after 12 years as the group finance and administration manager, having championed the company’s ISO certification process, spearheaded the automation of finance and production processes, and strengthened its financial governance.

Alex started his career as an accountant at Consolidated Insurance Brokers, serving in the role for eight months before joining Trident Insurance in 2005. He then joined the pharmaceuticals industry in 2008, assuming the position of finance manager at Pentapharm.

In 2011, he was appointed as the financial controller of Green Energy Limited, a position he held for nearly two years. He led the financial setup of the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) startup, overseeing the structuring of its capital, funding arrangements, and financial governance for a Ksh 300 million LPG plant project.
