One of Tanzania's largest conglomerates brings its senior finance leadership into CFO East Africa as Amsons takes up a corporate membership in the community.
Amsons has joined CFO East Africa as a corporate member, with group CFO Bobby Sumanth gaining full access to the community's events and networks, alongside finance managers Yogesh Chande and Stephen Njoroge.
They will attend CFO summits across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, as well as affiliated events in South Africa, including CFO Day, Executive Day and the Finance Indaba.
The package also includes print editions of CFO East Africa and CFO South Africa magazines, certificates for up to 56 hours of verifiable CPD, and invitations to the annual CFO Awards in both regions.
Amsons, which was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, is a privately owned Tanzanian conglomerate with operations spanning cement manufacturing, petroleum and fuel distribution, logistics, flour milling, real estate and energy. It operates across Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Malawi and Burundi. The group employs over 10,000 people and operates one of East Africa's largest private logistics fleets, comprising over 800 trucks.
