Frederick Nshekanabo, CFO at CRDB Bank, is among the nominees for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards, having spent nearly three decades at one of Tanzania's largest banks.
CRDB Bank CFO Fredrick Nshekanabo has been nominated for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards.
Fredrick has spent his entire career at CRDB Bank, joining in February 1999 as a bank officer. He progressed through roles as accountant, manager of the finance help desk, and director of finance before being appointed CFO in July 2019, a position he has held for over seven years.
He holds an MSc in finance from the University of Strathclyde and an advanced diploma in accounting from the Institute of Finance Management in Tanzania. He is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
Dubbed the "Oscars of Finance", the CFO Awards celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
