Gabriel will lead the non-profit’s efforts in financial strategy, operational excellence, institutional resilience, and sustainability integration.
Gabriel Bundala has assumed the role of head of finance and operations at Foundation for Civil Society (FCS). He has over a decade of experience in financial strategy and operational transformation across various industries including transport and financial services.
“I look forward to contributing to impactful achievements and playing a key role in advancing FCS’s sustainability agenda, financial resilience, and operational excellence in support of its bold vision for social transformation in Tanzania,” he said.
Gabriel started his career as an audit trainee at the National Audit Office in Tanzania in July 2013 while working concurrently as a CPA and ATEC tutor at Covenant Financial Consultants. In August 2014, he joined PwC as an assurance associate, working in the position for two years before taking on the role of senior audit associate in July 2016.
He left the audit firm in January 2019, when he was appointed as the operations manager at Bolt. He transitioned to the position of regional operations manager for Tanzania and Uganda in June 2022, serving for a year.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Institute of Finance Management and an MBA in finance from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds ACCA, CPA, and full stack web development certifications.
