Gabriel moves up from his role as head of finance and operations at the non-profit, which he has held since February 2025.
Gabriel Bundala has been appointed acting executive director at Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), stepping up from his position as head of finance and operations.
He has over a decade of experience spanning professional services, technology operations, and civil society development, with a focus on financial strategy, institutional governance, and sustainability integration
Gabriel began his career as an audit trainee at the National Audit Office Tanzania in July 2013 while concurrently serving as a CPA and ATEC tutor at Covenant Financial Consultants. In August 2014, he joined PwC as an assurance associate, progressing to senior audit associate in July 2016.
He moved to Bolt in January 2019, where he served as operations manager for Tanzania, later taking on the regional operations manager role covering Tanzania and Uganda from June 2022.
Gabriel joined FCS as head of finance and operations in February 2025, a role in which he led financial resilience planning, digital transformation, and governance reform, before being appointed acting executive director in February 2026.
He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is also a certified public accountant and holds the ACCA qualification, including the ACCA Professional Diploma in Sustainability. He also holds a full stack web development certification from HyperionDev.
