Geoffrey will lead the firm’s business growth strategy and financial operations across East Africa.
Geoffrey Njuguna has been appointed as managing director of Interswitch Kenya. He brings over 15 years of progressive leadership in financial strategy, planning, and systems implementation across fintech and IT sectors.
He began his career in accounting software consultancy, first at Sharp Point International Company as an accountant in August 2011, and later at Timecon Kenya as a business software consultant from July 2012 to July 2013, where he implemented Pastel accounting systems and supported client onboarding.
In July 2013, he joined Impax Business Solutions Limited as a Microsoft Dynamics AX and GP functional consultant, earning Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist credentials. He progressed to project manager before departing in June 2017.
Geoffrey joined Interswitch in July 2017 as head of financial planning, analysis & reporting. In March 2018, he took on a concurrent role at Interswitch Group in Lagos as head of financial planning, analysis & reporting, working directly with the group CFO on strategic finance projects.
He was appointed regional CFO for Interswitch East Africa in January 2020 and later assumed the additional role of CFO in October 2021. In June 2026, he took on the role of managing director of Interswitch Kenya.
Geoffrey holds a Bachelor of economics and finance from Kenyatta University and an MA in economics policy management from the University of Nairobi. He is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
