The Rwandese national joins a growing list of leading finance executives who will compete in the inaugural ‘Oscars of Finance'.

IHS Towers finance director Lilian Budandi is the latest addition to the list of nominees for the 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa. The awards, which will take place in Nairobi on 27 November, recognise finance executives who exemplify impactful and exceptional leadership.

Lilian joined the company as part of the founding team in July 2014, serving as the finance manager for two years. She began her career as an assistant finance manager at Delta Petroleum (now Galana Energies) in April 2008 before transitioning to PKF international, where she worked as a senior tax analyst from June 2010 to June 2014.

She holds a BA in business management with a finance major and is a certified public accountant. She also holds an MSc in finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is currently pursuing an executive MBA.
