NMB Bank CFO Juma Kimori joins the running for the first-ever CFO Awards for East Africa.
NMB Bank CFO Juma Kimori has been nominated for the inaugural CFO Awards for East Africa. He is the 12th contender to join the list of nominees for the 2025 ‘Oscars of Finance’, which celebrate exemplary finance leaders.
Juma was appointed as CFO of NMB Bank in May 2021 after serving as the chief internal auditor for three years. Before joining the bank, Juma had a seven-year stint at Barclays Bank, having joined as the chief internal auditor in April 2011. In January 2016, he took on the concurrent role of regional director for Barclays Bank’s internal audit division in Southern Africa.
He began his career as a senior associate at PwC in August 2006. He was appointed as the head of internal audit at African Banking Corporation in December 2009, a position he held for two years.
He holds a BCom in accounting from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a certified public accountant (CPA-T).
