Mollen Odhiambo-Koech has assumed the role of interim CFO at DHL Worldwide Express Kenya. Until her appointment, she had served as deputy CFO and business controller at DHL, having joined the multinational logistics company more than 15 years ago.

“It's an opportunity I have been praying for. Being the deputy CFO and financial controller for almost three years prepared me adequately, but at some point I realised that I needed more. So when this opportunity to act as CFO presented itself I was more than ready to embrace the challenge which I am picking up slowly, steadily, and comfortably. With a supportive team in the system and continuous engagement and collaboration with other departments, I believe I will be able to achieve,” she says.

Mollen replaces Josephine Njoroge, who now takes on the role of finance and strategy director at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL).

She boasts nearly two decades of experience in financial management, treasury management, and financial reporting gleaned from multiple industries. She began her career as an accounts assistant at global security firm G4S before joining DHL in 2010 as a customer accounting executive. In this role, Mollen successfully managed the full accounting and reporting for agent countries, resulting in accurate financial reconciliations, compliance with agency agreements, and improved operational efficiency.

Mollen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance from Strathmore University and an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
