In his new role, Nicholas will oversee strategy and finance for a portfolio of eight companies across the region.
Nicholas Masaba has been appointed as the finance director at Cold Solutions Services East Africa effective from June 2025.
Until May 2025, Nicholas had served as the group CFO of C-Care Uganda, a position he assumed in June 2019.
“For me, it presents wider exposure within the EA region, with oversight of strategy and finances for a portfolio of up-to 8 companies once the entire project is completed. The project fund partners are also very keen on ESG with a heavy focus on cutting edge, energy efficient equipment and facilities. The network of facilities will contribute immensely in the reduction of food wastage while providing alternative cost effective cold chain storage and logistics options for the FMCGs, big pharma among others, within the EAC region,” he says.
Nicholas began his career at PwC in Kampala, where he worked as a senior associate from 2008 to 2013. He later joined the firm’s Aberdeen office in the same capacity, before returning to Uganda in 2015 to serve as manager until 2019.
In February 2018, he moved into the banking sector as head of finance and administration at NC Bank Uganda. He then joined International Medical Group, Uganda, in June 2019 as group head of finance before being appointed as group chief financial officer at C-Care Uganda shortly thereafter.
Nicholas holds a BSc in civil engineering from Makerere University and is a certified ACCA professional. He also holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University.
