Nirav Patel appointed as executive director of Steel & Tube Industries

Nirav Patel has assumed the role of executive director at Ugandan manufacturer Steel & Tube Industries.

Until March 2025, Nirav Patel had served as the CFO of Steel & Tube Industries, a position he has held since June 2024. He joined the company in 2009, having been appointed as finance manager, and boasts more than 20 years of experience steering finance in the manufacturing industry.

"Everybody has two lives, and the second one starts when you realize you have only one. I believe that my second life is beginning with this new role as executive director. In leading Steel and Tube Industries, I commit to forging a future that honours our values while embracing innovation. I will focus on sustainable growth that strengthens our company, supports our workforce, and delivers value to all stakeholders. Nirav began his career at Tanzanian fish supplier Vicfish in 2004 after relocating from his native Baroda in India. He then joined Indian Metal Company Limited (IMCL), where he served as a manager from 2007 to 2009. In January 2022,  Nirav founded Hapfint Financial Services, which he has run to date.

He holds a BCom and an MBA from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. In 2024, he completed the CEO certification programme at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K) in Kerala, India.
