Parfait Irakoze appointed CFO at Development Bank of Rwanda

Parfait will steer BRD’s financial strategy as the bank fulfils its mandate of financing Rwanda’s development priorities.

Parfait Irakoze has taken on the role of chief financial officer at Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) effective August 2025.

Until July 2025, he was the CFO at Mayfair Insurance Company Rwanda. Prior to that, he spent over three years at KPMG East Africa, first as senior auditor from January 2022 to April 2023, and later as audit manager from May 2023 to June 2025.

He began his career as a senior accountant at Rwanda Eco Company and Safaris in September 2016, where he worked for two and a half years. In February 2019, he joined EY Rwanda as an auditor, serving in that capacity for three years until January 2022.

Parfait is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), where he has served on the professional standards committee and the financial reporting excellence award committee since October 2024.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Adventist University of Central Africa and an ACCA certification.
