Ratnakar has also served in senior IT roles, leading major ERP implementations and establishing IT as a profit centre.
Dune Packaging CFO Ratnakar Nemani has been nominated for the 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa. He joins the list of finance executives competing for the illustrious ‘Oscars of Finance’, which will be held in Nairobi on 27 November.
Ratnakar was appointed to the role in January 2022 after serving as the CEO of National Natural Honey from October 2020 to July 2021.
Ratnakar began his career in July 1992 as an accounts executive at VST Industries, where he spent 18 years in various senior roles, including CIO and profit centre head (IT), deputy CFO, and finance manager. He then served as CIO at Himatsingka Seide for a two-year stint beginning in September 2010, before assuming the role of CIO and head of the IT profit centre at General Group in December 2012.
Between March 2016 and February 2020, Ratkanar held the role of CFO at Alkhonji Holding Group, where he led finance and operations across multiple sectors.
He holds a BCom from MR(A) College, Vizianagaram and a CMA certification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
