Bayport Tanzania CFO Rehema Sanare has been nominated for the 2025 CFO Awards
Bayport Financial Services Tanzania CFO Rehema Sanare is the latest addition to the list of nominees for the 2025 CFO Awards for East Africa. The awards, which will take place on 27 November, recognise finance executives who exemplify impactful and exceptional leadership.
Rehema was appointed as the CFO of Bayport Tanzania in September 2017. Before that, she served as the financial controller at Barclays Tanzania for a three-year stint that began in July 2014. Rehema cut her teeth at Deloitte, having joined the firm as an audit associate in August 2005.
In July 2007, Rehema took on the role of audit senior at Deloitte, a position she held for three years. During this time, she completed a six-month secondment to Kenya. She then went on to assume the position of head of business performance and analytics at the bank from November 2010 to June 2014. This preceded her appointment as financial controller in July 2014. She served in the role for three years before joining Bayport Financial Services Tanzania as CFO.
She holds a BSc in accounting and finance from Cardiff University. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a certified public accountant (CPA-T).
