post-title

In December 2024, Robert Belle stepped into the role of group finance manager at TD Bank in Toronto, Ontario. He leaves his position as CFO of Geo Science Management Group, based in Kenya, having joined the group in April 2023.

Working in a hybrid setup, Robert will be leveraging his expertise to transform complex financial data into actionable insights, supporting executive decision-making, and driving innovation as part of TD’s Data as a Service (DaaS) team.

Robert’s career has taken him from the boardrooms of multinational corporations to leading innovative projects in small- and medium-sized enterprises. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as finance lead at GEO Science Management Group, where he exceeded fundraising targets, streamlined operations across five countries and championed corporate governance reforms in mining, agriculture and construction.

Before that, as finance team lead at Smip Consultancy, Robert guided service-based SMEs through turbulent times, including the Covid-19 pandemic. By utilising digital technologies, he helped clients cut costs by 50 percent, boost revenues by 150 percent, and increase donor funding from $250,000 to $2.5 million annually.

At Unilever, Robert demonstrated his talent for strategic procurement, reducing costs by €400,000 and improving delivery timelines in emerging East African markets. His earlier work with The Coca-Cola Company showcased his ability to innovate, introducing robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline financial processes across 31 countries.

Robert joins TD Bank at a critical time as the organisation continues to emphasise data-driven decision-making. With his deep expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and portfolio management, Robert is expected to play a vital role in shaping the bank’s financial strategies. His ability to build strong relationships with senior executives and foster change will undoubtedly make him a key asset to the bank.
