Stephen steps into the CFO role after more than a decade at the organisation, having most recently served as finance manager.
Stephen Njangiru has been appointed CFO at Hand in Hand Eastern Africa, effective 1 April 2026. The appointment marks a promotion within the organisation, where he has served since 2013.
Stephen joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in September 2013 as finance manager, a role in which he oversaw multi-million dollar grants from donors including SIDA, the IKEA Foundation, and Visa.
Prior to his appointment as CFO, he served concurrently as acting chief finance officer, deepening his exposure to the strategic and governance dimensions of the role before the formal appointment.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business Management in finance and banking from Moi University. He is currently pursuing an MSc in development finance at KCA University. He is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
