Bernard Tesha is the chief financial officer and interim board member of Absa Bank Tanzania, a position he has held since February 2024.
He joined in January 2014 as financial reporting and GL controls manager before being appointed financial controller in July 2017, a role he held for close to seven years. He briefly rotated into the role of head of finance and decision support in 2021 before taking up his current position.
He began his career at Ernst & Young (EY) Tanzania in 2009, where he rose to senior auditor over five years.
Bernard holds a Bachelor of accounting and finance from Mzumbe University. He has also completed a certificate in leadership and general management at GIBS Business School and an executive coaching course at Strathmore Business School.
