Bilaal Ramjaun is the chief financial officer of AzamPesa.
He was appointed CFO of Azam TV in May 2017 and soon after joined AzamPesa and AzamPay as group CFO and board member. At AzamPesa, he also serves on the board regulatory compliance committee and leads financial strategy, partnerships, and compliance initiatives across East Africa. From 2015 to 2017, Bilaal was head of finance and compliance at Medscheme in Mauritius and served on the board of the Mauritius Employers Federation Provident Association.
Earlier, he held senior finance roles at Econet Wireless, Huawei Technologies, and Deloitte, gaining experience across different markets in Africa, the Middle East, and the US.
He holds a BSc in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University, an ACCA certification, and a CPMS in project management. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration at Exeed College.

The service allows transactions across any mobile network, supporting biometric self-registration, and offering satellite-backed payment option.
