Bornmathew Nuru is the chief financial officer of Umoja Coin.

He began his career in August 2011 as an accountant at Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre. In March 2013, he joined Greenlight Planet as finance manager before moving to Mobisol in January 2015, where he worked as zonal accountant for just over three years. From March 2018 to May 2021, he was head of finance and accounting at Jumeme Rural Power Supply. He co-founded Umoja Coin in May 2022 and served as CEO until December 2024. He was appointed CFO in March 2025.

Bornmathew holds an MSc in finance and investment from the Institute of Finance Management and is a certified public accountant (CPA-T). He also holds an advanced diploma in accounting and finance from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha.
