Charles Gachuhi is the head of finance and administration at PharmAccess Foundation.
He began his career as an audit senior at Ernst & Young, where he spent three years auditing a range of clients across banking, insurance and the non-profit sector. He moved to the New Apostolic Church East Africa in November 2008, serving as regional senior accountant for four years and overseeing the finance operations of its East Africa region. During this time he also acted as finance officer of Kujenga Maisha East Africa, an NGO established by the Church in 2010. He briefly served as financial controller at CarePay, where he set up the company's finance department from the ground up, before joining PharmAccess Foundation in November 2012, a role he continues to hold.
Charles studied accounting at the University of Nairobi, where he also completed an MBA in operations management. He holds a postgraduate diploma in tax administration from the Kenya School of Revenue Administration and is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
