Chris Eyre was appointed as the chief financial officer of Helium One in September 2021.
He began his career in April 2006 as group financial manager at Metmar Trading, later Traxys Africa, where he spent over a decade overseeing reporting, taxation, treasury management, and group consolidations. In July 2016, he moved to Malawi Fertilizer Company as financial controller, managing teams across Lilongwe and Liwonde.
From September 2019, he served as regional financial controller for Tata Africa Holdings in Dar es Salaam, where he oversaw multi-country operations in East Africa. He held the position for two years before joining Helium One as CFO.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting, taxation, and auditing from the University of Cape Town, an honours degree in financial management from the University of Johannesburg, and is a chartered management accountant (ACMA) through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
