Emmanuel Kiberu is the chief financial officer of Ecobank Uganda.

His professional career started in 2014 at dfcu Bank, where he interned in consumer and corporate banking. In 2015, he joined Citi as an intern in treasury and trade solutions. That same year, he began working with KPMG East Africa as an audit associate, later rising to audit senior and learning and development trainer. 

Emmanuel joined Absa Group in 2019 as financial reporting manager. He was later appointed financial controller before becoming the head of business performance and analytics in 2024.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in statistics from Makerere University, an ACCA qualification, a CPA from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University. He has also completed the Transition to Business Leadership Programme at IMD.
