Emmanuel Kiberu joins Ecobank Uganda as CFO

Emmanuel has over a decade of experience in finance, audit and business performance.

Emmanuel Kiberu has been appointed as CFO at Ecobank Uganda, effective November 2025. 

The move comes after a one-year stint as head of business performance and analytics at Absa Bank Uganda, where he previously served as financial controller and financial reporting manager.

Emmanuel began his career as an intern at dfcu Bank in 2014 and Citi in 2015, followed by over three years at KPMG East Africa, where he rose from audit associate to audit senior and served as a learning and development trainer. He then joined Absa Bank Uganda in 2019 as financial reporting manager.

He holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in statistics from Makerere University. Emmanuel also holds a CPA certification from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and is an ACCA Fellow. He completed the Transition to Business Leadership programme at IMD in 2024.
