Eva Zalwango was appointed as the head of finance and operations at PowerUp Uganda in January 2025.
She began her career in 2011 at AAR Insurance Uganda as an accounts assistant, gradually rising through the ranks to membership accountant and then membership manager. In 2015, she joined Prudential Uganda as an accountant. Over the next seven years, she held various roles there, including senior accountant, head of finance, and eventually chief finance officer.
In December 2022, she was appointed CFO at Jubilee Life Insurance Uganda, a role she held until early 2025.
Eva holds a an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and an associate’s degree in accounting and finance from Strathmore University. She is a certified public accountant (CPA-U).
