Fiona Nuwamanya is the co-founder of the Africa Centre for Applied Digital Health (CADH).

She began her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Uganda, where she spent three years before moving into the healthcare sector. She joined Medical Access Uganda Limited as a senior accountant in 2013, rising to finance controller by 2015. In 2016, she established TWAM Synergies Group, a business support consultancy serving SMEs, and launched an independent consulting practice that has since taken her to more than 15 countries, working with global health partners including the Global Fund and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

In 2019, Fiona co-founded Rocket Health, Uganda's pioneering telemedicine company, serving as its chief financial officer. Under her leadership, the company scaled to serve over one million patients, secured partnerships with more than 15 insurers, and completed a $5 million Series A fundraising round before its acquisition by MyDawa Group, a Kenyan e-healthcare firm, in early 2025.

Fiona is also a co-founder of the Africa Centre for Applied Digital Health (CADH), where she is advancing digital health innovation using AI and data science, and a director at The Medical Concierge Group, a digital health company in Africa.

She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a certificate in ESG and Sustainable Financial Strategy from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Her professional achievements were recognised when she was named ACCA Africa CFO of the Year 2023.
