Jonathan Green is the CFO of e-mobility start-up BasiGo.

He began his career as a pricing intern at American multinational IBM, later joining Grassroots Food as a project manager. Between 2005 and 2010, Jonathan was involved in the development and scaling up of Fesmorroco.com SARL, a contracting and consulting company specialising in restoration of traditional Arab architecture using conservation techniques. Subsequently, he took on the role of researcher and institutional strengthening advisor at the Commonwealth Secretariat before transitioning to Mercy Corps as an agricultural input market analyst.

After leaving the humanitarian non-profit, Jonathan joined Innovations for Poverty Action, where he became project coordinator and later acting director of operations. He served in that capacity for six months before being appointed as business intelligence and strategy director at Fenix International.

He holds an MSc in sustainable development from the University of Exeter and a BSc in financial mathematics from Brunel University of London.

BasiGo
BasiGo is an electric mobility start-up based in Nairobi, Kenya that leases electric buses to local bus owners. It imports vehicle parts from China and assembles them. So far, 55 of its buses are in operation in Kenya and Rwanda.
