Miriam Kaggwa is the COO of WPP-Scangroup.
She took on the role in January 2025 after a two-year stint as CFO of the advertising behemoth. She also served as intermin CEO between July and November 2025.
Miriam has extensive experience in the marketing and communications industry in North America, the United Kingdom and emerging markets.
Prior to joining WPP-Scangroup, Miriam held the position of CFO: North America for BCW Global, a PR agency owned by WPP.
Before joining BCW, Miriam worked for Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) for 17 years in different roles in London and the US. During her tenure at IPG, she oversaw finance and operations for different agencies within IPG.
During her earlier career, Miriam worked for Salomon SmithBarney in their investment banking unit and with GE Capital. She started her professional career working as an engineer for Sheldhal.
Miriam holds a BA in Chemistry from Macalester College, a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University, US.
