Nickson Motta is the chief financial officer of Jubilee Insurance Tanzania.
He began his career in July 2011 as an accountant trainee at the Geological Survey of Tanzania, supporting financial operations for geological projects and managing expenditure records. In August 2012, he joined the European Development Fund – Programme Support Unit as a project accountant.
Nickson moved to Demus Associates in March 2013 as an audit associate and tax advisor, examining financial statements for compliance, supporting audits, and preparing clients’ tax returns. He joined the insurance sector in May 2014 when he joined AAR Insurance Tanzania as an accountant, later becoming senior accountant, financial accountant, and finance manager over a five-year period.
He transitioned to the renewable energy sector in May 2019 as finance manager at ENGIE, overseeing financial management, compliance, and planning. In October 2021, he became finance manager (FP&A) at ENGIE Energy Access, serving for about a year before returning to the insurance sector in March 2022 to take on his current role.
