Sam Njenga is the chief financial officer at Car & General, a position he has held since January 2021. 

Sam joined Car & General as an auditor in September 2010. He was promoted to manager internal audit in January 2016, then to head of audit risk and compliance in January 2018, a role covering the company's East Africa operations.

He was appointed chief financial officer in January 2021, a role in which he oversees the company's finance function.

Sam holds a master's degree in commerce, majoring in forensic accounting, from Strathmore University, and a BCom, majoring in finance, from Kenyatta University. He is a certified public accountant and a certified information systems auditor, and is a registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
