Alice has been nominated for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards, recognising her extensive leadership experience across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Lake Turkana Wind Power CFO Alice Wathika has secured a nomination for the 2026 CFO Awards, joining a distinguished group of finance leaders competing for the region's most coveted recognition in finance leadership.
She has served as CFO at Lake Turkana Wind Power since November 2023. Prior to that, she spent five and a half years as head of finance at Kipeto Energy. Earlier in her career, she served as head of finance at Salama Fikira, and before that spent 15 years at Grain Bulk Handlers Limited, where she rose from finance clerk to group finance manager.
A certified public accountant (CPA), Alice holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a certified public secretary (CPS) qualification from Strathmore University.
Dubbed the "Oscars of Finance" in the region, the CFO East Africa Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
