This role is taking me out of my comfort zone that was finance, and I’m excited to explore and master these other aspects of the business. I’m excited for the cross functional leadership and I believe this opportunity will expand my skill set and prepare me for even bigger opportunities,” Angela says.

She adds: “The Rwanda business is our largest retail business in East Africa. We are putting in significant investment to continue to drive that business digitally. I’m looking forward to implementing these projects with the customer at the centre.”

Angela began her career as an accounts assistant at Total Petrochemicals in April 2009, before joining Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) as a senior associate in September 2009. In January 2015, she assumed the role of the group CFO at the bank, a position she held for six years.
