Bartin will lead the company’s financial strategy, controls and operations as it expands its footprint across the continent.
Bartin Mtawali has been appointed as head of finance at African Elite Group. He brings to the role more than a decade of experience, with a background in financial reporting and forecasting, internal controls and risk management.
“His expertise in building financial frameworks, optimising tax strategies, and delivering strategic insights will be instrumental as we drive growth across the continent. We’re confident his experience will strengthen our financial operations,” the company said.
Bartin began his career in 2013 as an accounts assistant and auditor at Ashwin Brothers – Alexander Consultants. He joined MGK Consulting as a senior auditor in 2016 before moving to Coninx Industries in 2018, where he first served as an accounts payable specialist and later as chief accountant.
In 2021, Bartin became chief accountant at Tuffsteel before joining Betika as assistant chief accountant a year later. He also serves as managing director at BMT Consulting and previously sat on the advisory board of Sani Kenya.
Bartin holds an MBA in strategic management from USIU–Africa and an FMVA certification from the Corporate Finance Institute. He also holds a BCom in finance from KCA University and is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
