Eugine Mutekhele appointed deputy CEO at Jubilee Insurance Uganda

He boasts extensive experience in financial services, audit, and strategic leadership across East Africa and the UK.

Eugine Mutekhele has been appointed as deputy chief executive officer at Jubilee Insurance Uganda. He took on the role in December 2025 after serving as CFO - health at the insurer for nearly two years.

Eugine began his career at PwC Kenya in September 2009 as an associate, progressing to senior associate over five years. During this time, he was seconded to African Trade Insurance Agency as an investment analyst for one year, managing their investment portfolio with AAA-rated investors.

In October 2014, he relocated to PwC UK as a manager. He returned to Africa in November 2016, joining PwC Rwanda as a manager to establish the risk assurance services department, covering IT security audits, quality assurance, and internal audit reviews. He was promoted to senior manager at PwC Kenya in July 2018.

In May 2021, Eugine joined Old Mutual Kenya as chief finance officer for the life business, serving for nearly three years before moving to Jubilee Insurance Kenya as CFO - health in February 2024.

Eugine holds a Bachelor's degree in electronic and computer engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), an MSc in professional accountancy from the University of London, and is an ACCA-certified accountant.
